Tim Lowe – Licensed Building Practitioner, Master Builder and Director
I’m Tim Lowe, the proud owner of Concept 2 Construction Ltd, based in Christchurch. Growing up on a farm in Hinds, I was shaped by our large historic homestead that sparked my fascination with building. I was always curious about how such places were crafted the details, the workmanship, and the way a home could stand the test of time. That early curiosity soon grew into a lifelong passion for construction.
After completing my studies at Lincoln University, I stepped straight into the building industry through an apprenticeship with a specialist in architectural homes. It was here I learned the value of true craftsmanship, attention to detail, and the importance of doing the job right the first time. Over the past 20 years, I’ve had the privilege of building many architectural homes in some of Christchurch’s most sought-after locations, as well as delivering intricate post-quake rebuilds on the Port Hills. In every project, my focus has been on creating not just houses, but homes that reflect the dreams and lifestyles of the people who live in them.
For me, building is as much about people as it is about structures. Many of my clients have become lifelong friends, and I take pride in maintaining those connections long after the last nail is driven. At Concept 2 Construction, trust is matched with professionalism. We’ve developed a clear, step-by-step build process that ensures our clients always know what’s happening and when. From initial planning through to handover, every stage is carefully managed, transparent, and supported by our systems, checklists, and proven methods. This not only guarantees quality craftsmanship, but also delivers a stress-free and enjoyable experience for our clients.
I’m also a family man, blessed with a beautiful wife and two amazing children. When I’m not on-site, you’ll find me enjoying rugby, cricket, or golf, always striving to push myself to be better both personally and professionally.
